Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Amy (Wu) Stratton on August 15, 2020:

Dear Dr. Magnum,

I am so sorry and saddened to learn of your passing. You sold me on majoring in Management Science and Operations Research . You were one of the best professors and one of the toughest and authentic individuals I have the honor to know during my time at Pace.

In today's current headlines of Black Lives Matter and pandemic, you truly saw people for their personality and not race. You were a mentor. Your war stories and many insights are always a pleasure to listen to.

It's been over 20 years and I still remember you fondly and remember why you said you lived in Greenwich (so that if there was bomb in NYC, it would not reach Greenwich) and your offer to teach me how to shoot a gun for self protection.

You are missed and always remembered.
