T was one of the most humble and compassionate people I've had the privilege to know. A gifted athlete with a relentless work ethic, he was a terrific cadet at West Point. Above all else, however, I was always struck by his ability to lend a hand - to reach out to those around him who were less talented than he, to make them feel valued and welcomed. I vividly recall his dexterity in the boxing ring, but moreso his willingness to share his wealth of knowledge with those of us less gifted. I am saddened that the years came between us, but am forever grateful for the time we shared. He will be sorely missed. Rest well my friend. |
