| Barney was my roommate plebe year - ALWAYS helpful to me in my studies as I was a real goat!. His loving parents used to take us to Hotel Thayer on sundays for a meal out - a real treat, usually monthly. I remember we both flew in a C-47 on a class trip to El Paso,TX. I learned a lot about NYC from Barney. He also was a good boxer.A great friend and companion on weekends. I believe we both were in Korea(1952-1953)about the same time, but in different units/locations. He was quiet, unassuming, and known as ZIPPER by some of us. I will miss him!!! |
