Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Charles N. French on October 7, 2005:

Cookie had a somewhat perplexed look, which might cause one who didn't know him to think he had a dour personality. On the contrary, though he was bright, inquisitive, and erudite on a broad range of subjects, he always loved a good laugh, including one at his own expense. Like others of his classmates, he felt truly blessed "the second time around" in sharing a nearly three-decade love affair with Chris and embraced her two children as he did his daughter Kathy and son Bill. Successful in the Army and even more so in business, he was as respected by those who worked for him as those for whom he worked. What a privilege to have been his friend!
