| I had the honor of commanding along side Jay at Fort Irwin. Jay was a warrior and true professional. He loved his family, his soldiers, and the Army. There was never a day that Jay did not give everything he had to his soldiers. He was a dynamic leader, and I am extremely proud to call him my friend. I remember the last time I saw Jay, crossing the street during our deployment from Fort Irwin. I rolled down my window and said, "take care of yourself, see you on the high ground." I will miss you my friend, we will meet again, on Fiddler's Green. God bless you Jay, your family and friends. |
