"Memories such as these of my friend, Mel remain. Mel found love and pride in his family from his parents to his children and especially with Ann. Mel appreciated his teachers from family, church, schools through USMA and as a professional in the U. S. Army. Mel was proud of his home, Country and of his service to it with his fellow soldiers. He shared much fun with his classmates at USMA and held much reverence for the Long Grey Line. I thank Mel for his encouragement and friendship. Margaret and I hold fond memories of Mel and Ann. We hope to keep in touch with Ann. Mel's friend, John" |
