| I am not a USMA graduate, but I was Battalion S-1 for 3/32 Inf, Fort Ord, CA, 1982-83. I wrote the letter for the Bn Cdr, George A. Fisher, recommending flight school. Lt. Border was a down-to-earth, highly-motivated, very personable officer, who I liked very much and advocated for. I think about him a lot. I was shocked and deeply saddened over 35 years ago, and still am today. R.I.P. |
