Greetings from Manila, Philippines! Memorial Day 2021 here is bright and sunny -- and a good time to remember my West Point classmate, Mac MacAllister. Mac and I belonged to different Regiments, so I never really got to know him well. I do recall him as a shy, but friendly fellow. And that he was a runt -- aka vertically challenged -- like myself. We did enjoy a few escapades in Camp Buckner together. Mac and I parted ways on Graduation Day, and our paths never crossed again. He joined the US Air Force while I served with the Philippine Army. I do know that he was once assigned in Clark AFB in the Philippines -- I met 2 of our classmates (and their wives) there -- but Mac and Maggie were not among them. He did put in 20 years of service before he retired and then continued as a farmer with a lot of horses. Well done, Mac. Be thou at peace! And now my final salute to my friend and classmate!
