Be Thou At Peace

Posted by kr - FoRV on November 4, 2022:

Capt. George Arthur Davis was an "Army Brat." He selected "Air Corps" upon graduation and became an Air Force Officer when the USAAF became its own service in 1947. He was a member of the 22d Bombardment Group based at March Air Force Base, CA sent to Okinawa to fly bombing missions early in the Korean War. He was the co-pilot of a B-29 bomber that took off from Okinawa and, shortly thereafter, had an engine failure that resulted in the crash of the bomber.
