I cannot overstate my grief on learning of Steve's death. Laurel,my wife and I pray for you and your son. Steve was my best regimental staff officer and one of my all-time favorite captains in the regiment. I, like so many others, were waiting to see the impact he would have on so many soldiers once he was given a command. For a quiet guy, Steve managed to touch a lot of people in the regiment in a very short period of time. I know I will never for get him. |
