James Francis Adamouski

West Point, 1995

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Chris Dodd and Frank Adamouski on November 16, 2005:

A Tribute To A True Hero, James Francis Adamouski:

Jimmy was the embodiment of Christian love and West Point values. He selflessly loved and cared for his wife, mother, father, sisters, and friends much more than he loved himself. Jimmy volunteered for West Point and, like a true patriot, volunteered to defend his country in combat? internalizing the consequences. Duty, Honor, and Country, merely words to most, were the cornerstone of Jimmy?s soul.

Jimmy was dependable and trustworthy, yet fun loving and affable. He was loyal and honest, yet pragmatic and real. He was ambitious and determined, yet gracious and cordial. He was compassionate and sympathetic, yet tough and sturdy. He was the quintessential man? who every parent wants his or her son to be.

They say life is not measured in years, but in accomplishments. They must have been talking about Jimmy. Jimmy?s abbreviated, yet illustrious list includes: son, husband, friend, High School Class President, Division I Soccer Star, West Point Graduate, Army Pilot, Semi-Pro Soccer Player, Combat Helicopter Company Commander, West Point Professor, Honorary Harvard Business School Graduate, Killed In Action.

Spiritually, emotionally, professionally, intellectually, Jimmy could not have been more complete as a man. Jimmy truly lived more and did more in his 29 years than most men would in several lifetimes.

Jimmy was idolized by some, respected by many, and loved by all.

Jimmy made the ultimate sacrifice and will be forever missed, but NEVER FORGOTTEN!
