From the 1959 HOWITZER: ************************ SAMUEL DONNEL GWIN C-1 Goodman, Mississippi Honor Military School Sam came to us from the "Land of Cotton," and his days here won't be soon forgotten. Being a "hive," Sam always had time to lend a hand to the less fortunate. His fiery spirit, drawl and knack for humor added something to the strict routine. Sam had a "will to win" that reached all around him, and which should aid him in any battle in life.
