Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Steve Pellegrino, Dennis' Cousin on November 27, 2005:

"Greater love has no one than this,
than to lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13

Proud am I to have been a fellow servicemember and even more proud I have been to be his cousin. Dennis' life was one of a great many loves; love for his family and his friends, love of competition and excellence, love of his service and love for his country. I cannot think of a tribute more fitting to a man than to say he lived his life through love.

Dennis will be truly missed but will be honored throughout eternity along side the countless "greats" that have passed before him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow;
I am the softly falling snow.

I am the gentle showers of rain;
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush;
I am in the graceful rush.

Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.

I am the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die."
(Mary Frye)

All my love and prayers to the Zilinski Family.

Steve Pellegrino, USN Retired
