| While reorganizing and reducing my bookshelves in pre-holiday prep, I came across the much treasured book "Five Years to Freedom". It brought back the memory of your return visit to West Point so shortly after your release in order to talk to the Cadets. Your Classmates were gathered around you afterwards. You turned to me, recognizing me from Artillery School at Ft Sill so many years and so many traumas ago and said, "Jitske, do you all still have that big, white Snow dog?" What an incredible memory! And for me unforgettable. |
