Be Thou At Peace

| Tom may have retired from the Army but he continued his lifetime of service. In the late 1990s, our classmate (then) LTC Tony Cucolo sent out the word that his battalion was trying to help supplant violence with hope in the communities they patrolled in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Soldiers sought school supplies to deliver for the children to learn and forge their constructive future. Tom mobilized his community in Anchorage, gathering a pallet load of materials which he staged in the basement of his computer store. My sister-in-law heard this story and managed to contact a loadmaster at Elmendorf AFB, who worked the process to deliver the precious load. Tom was one of the Lord's entrepreneurs. |
