Be Thou At Peace

Andrew I Webber Andy... Damn, you will be missed.
I've been friends with Andy since we were in high school; Devlin Meehan and he had been friends since age 12. Clearly, we should have taken more photos!
In 2013 (top pic) I had the pleasure of meeting up with Andy and his lovely wife DeeDee Cloyd Webber while we were all in Bamberg, Germany.
About a decade earlier (second photo) a bunch of us old CAP friends had met up for a post-HS- a reunion of sorts and apparently decided to take an "everyone looks confused" pic #nailedit .
The other two pics are from 1998-ish, back in the high school days with our whole lives still ahead of us... Safe to say it never crossed our minds that Andy's would end at age 41.
Andy was always an amazing guy - incredibly smart and witty. Upon graduating HS he went to the US Military Academy (West Point) and then became an officer in the Army, serving on active duty - including multiple long wartime deployments - until 2014. Upon leaving active duty, he graduated from law school and became a lawyer - told you he was smart!
By then, he was married and had one daughter, then they added a second to their beautiful family.
Andy's sense of justice and right vs wrong was always strong. It seems he could not stand idly by as Russia has been terrorizing Ukraine. Andy volunteered to serve a humanitarian mission with the 59th Motorized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces - it was during this service, on July 29th 2023 that Andy was killed.
