| I was the luckiest 1st lieutenant when reaching Glasgow AFB to be assigned to Capt. William Wetzel's new crew. Far as I was concerned he was the best pilot on the base. Nothing ever excited him. If the copilot would announce that we had just lost the right wing. Tony would calmly say that is ok we still have the left wing. He was my aircraft commander the entire time we were stationed at Glasgow including two tours in SE Asia. He was a friend, brother, father and my commander. I really miss him and our Emails and phone calls. |
