Be Thou At Peace

| John was a guy who was involved in almost everything. When I was leaving Los Angeles after two years at UCLA, I needed a place to stay after my household goods were picked up. John immediately offered me a room at his cramped quarters in Long Beach. I got to watch Sesame Street and other kids entertainment with his two young ones. When I got named the Chair for the 40th Reunion, John was quick to share his experiences as the Chair of the 35th. And when we needed an organizer for the Class gathering in conjunction with the Army-Navy football games, John jumped in. One could always count on John to step up. Wherever Mary and I were, we always raised a glass to John on his birthday, which he shared with Mary, albeit several years apart. John, I expect to see you leading the welcome party when it is my turn to join the Ghostly Assemblage. Until then, Rest in Peace. Well done! |
