| I did not know Walt as a cadet as he was in that other regiment the 1st, rather we met at the golf outings. Walt and I teamed up and challenged Steve Darrah and Bob Harter at most such golf outing. He was an excellent athlete, quite competitive, and so enjoyable to be around. In addition to playing golf Walt also accepted the task of finding good places to eat and like all that he did in life he was quite successful, finding excellent spots. Walt was highly successful as a Signal Corp officer, and he continued that success into civilian life and his family life. A true friend who is missed. |
