| In 1958-59, 1LT David (Big Eight) Wheeler was stationed at Taylor Barracks, Mannheim, Germany, where I was also stationed as an Army Special Services Librarian. We were part of a group of eight young officers and Special Services personnel who hung out together. In 1958 he invited me to Thanksgiving dinner at the Taylor Barracks Officers' Mess. We were good frinds there; but lost touch over the years. I'm sorry to hear of his death. |
