Colonel Francis Kosier Newcomer Jr., USMA 1939, Cullum # 11497, was: 1. The son of a USMA Graduate, Brigadier General Francis Kosier Newcomer Sr., USMA 1913, Cullum # 5113 (#1 man in GOM in the Class of 1913). 2. The grandson of a USMA Graduate, Brigadier General Henry Clay Newcomer, USMA 1886, Cullum # 3097 (#1 man in GOM in the Class of 1886). 3. The nephew of a USMA Graduate, Colonel David Albert Newcomer, USMA 1919, Cullum # 6257 (#2 man in GOM in the Class of 1919, later Killed in Action (KIA) in France during WWII). 4. The cousin of a USMA Graduate, Brigadier General Henry Crandall Newcomer, USMA 1939, Cullum # 11367, USAF. He and his 4 family members served the nation in the U.S. Army for 158 years |
