Be Thou At Peace

I grew up with Sam from 4th grade on. We were childhood best friends, graduating high school together and staying in touch when he went to the Academy and beyond. His loss is stunning and I will miss him dearly. His smile, laugh, and ability to stomp me at any video game will be the memories I cherish forever. We fished, camped, collected and battled pokemon cards, watched anime late into the night, drank gallons of Mountain Dew, and then finally as adults, discussed our children and our wives. Nothing can ever replace the hole that Sam will leave in my heart. His laughter will stay with me for the rest of my life. His smile. His voice. His love. He's with God now and I'll see him again someday and finally hug him again. Find your peace in heaven, my friend. I love you. |
