Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Ralph Vito Locurcio on August 13, 2024:
Dave and I were roommates for one year, I think yearling year in East Barracks. Dave was a wonderful roommate and a true gentleman, not only at WP but throughout his life. He was also the smartest person I ever knew (except in French). He breezed thru academics and most other tasks thrown at us and I never knew him to have trouble with the Tac Dept. After graduation, he used his brain to navigate possible opportunities available to him and selected those that would make him a millionaire by the time he was in his mid-30s. From that platform, he went on to establish himself in Hawaii, teach in academia, do research, and conduct seminars worldwide. Always a complete gentleman, Dave conducted himself with dignity and grace, especially thru the latter years of his life when he was stricken with an incurable ailment that rendered him helpless. In the end, Dave was a pioneer in the truest sense of the word. Always seeking to leave our world a better place by using his talents to the best advantage of all whom he served. Thus, for myself and for many who were privileged to know Dave we must say "Well done!... Be thou at peace!"
