I had the Honor and Privilege of serving under Mel Remus when he was commander of the 84th Engineer Battalion in Vietnam. He was the finest leader I have ever known. We have called ourselves the "Remus Command" all the years since the war. His service represented a great tribute to West Point and the Army. We who knew Mel will forever honor his memory. |
