Pat Kenny said it best this year at Greenbrier. Bob did more to foster and encourage class spirit than anyone through 20 plus years Of class golf outings. Bob was the leader, always organized and Faye was the second in command. Golf and poker and comradeship. Dermody, Darrah, Knauf they were all there, and we awaited the summons from Bob for the next one. Greenbrier was the capstone, the only one he missed, but Pat got it right. I was also privileged to serve with Bob and Duncan Brown in Recruiting Command with Uncle Max Thurman. Bob commanded the Seattle Bn and his troops loved him. Thanks for a great run, Bob, and THANKS for your leadership. Faye, we'll see you at the reunion if not before. Let us know when there are services. We will be there. |
