Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Rob Harry on October 22, 2024:

I was his driver in 9th Divarty. He was kind but stern. If someone confronted me, I had one of the best leaders in the U.S. Army that had my back. He wanted his thermos filled with coffee and me to be on time.
I was once to pick him up at his on post home. No combat vehicle's were to go in that area. A major gave me hell. I talked to Colonel Sinnreich and he fixed it immediately and the Major apologized me.
He taught me how to use chopsticks when he took me off post for a meal he paid for. He introduced me to Generals and asked me to go to D.C. with him.
He gave me hugs and love. He was a great man and I will miss him.
