Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jay Vaughn on October 25, 2024:

Dave "Mopes" deMoulpied was truly one of the most authentic "good guys" in our class. He was a gifted long-distance runner who followed in his father's many footsteps in that sport. As a class and company-mate in H-1, he was a loyal friend and that guy who was always smiling and found humor everywhere. He kept the rest of us laughing, no matter what. From cadet days forward, he loved flying, boating, skiing and just about any other outdoor sport. His passion was hockey and the backyard rink he built for his grandkids, although he probably skated on it as much as any of them. His central focus throughout his spectacular life was on his beloved wife, Cheryl, and his amazing family. Mopes will be dearly missed by all who knew him. RIP dear friend.
