Arthur Crawford Mosley

Be Thou At Peace
Posted by WILLIAM H WARD on November 13, 2024:
Art Mosley was Company E-2 Company Commander when I was a plebe. I always had the greatest respect for not only him but his coterie of '66 classmates in E-2, all of whom I recall with admiration.
On one occasion midway in my own career, I was on a flight from D.C. to Atlanta, and of all things happened to have a seat assignment right next to Art, who was on his way to Florida.
That was a truly unique occasion, from which I came away with not only an appreciation for but a great insight into a Harvard MBA (from which he was a seasoned graduate)! He explained in detail how the take-away was "Think the thought, talk the talk, and (finally) Walk the Walk"--all of which he did to great success in his post-military career. His participation and success in the conception and fulfillment of the famed Vietnam Memorial on the D.C. Mall is a matter of history.
We touched base again briefly in late 2010 over the Jack Wheeler (also E-2, '66) tragedy, and exchanged emails and phonecalls afterwards.
He was a unique, and let me add, GREAT individual (whose email was in his self-deprecating, ironic way was "mslyarthur@aol.com" as in "measleyarthur." I'm sure his classmates and others who knew him agree with the "GREAT" part.
May he rest forever with the satisfaction of a significant life well-lived.
