Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Kathleen Sam Sawyer on December 22, 2024:

I met Mark when living in Chicago in the early '80's. He was a real estate developer working on a condominium converson of a multi unit rental building on the north side. My husband was introduced to explore providing interim financing for the project. While that didn't happen, we all did become good friends.
Mark was brilliant, a kind and gentle soul who loved sailing his boat on Lake Michigan, ethnic foods, music (even making cd's for my youngsters of their favorite tunes), and love of his sister and brother-in-law who were in business togethe to a greater or lesser extent.
Sadly, we lost touch after our family relocated to the east coast. I was sorry to learn of his passing a few months ago. RIP my dear friend.
