| I had little contact with Steve as cadets and for most of our Army careers. However, beginning in 1989, we served together in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army. Steve was always calm, cool, and collected. Even though we worked in a very high pressure environment, he oftentimes went out of his way to help me (a speechwriter) get the job done. A great soldier who modeled selfless service! |
