Be Thou At Peace

| Prior to about 2019, I knew Wayne only casually. but starting in 2019, we became pretty close playing golf together every Monday and Wednesday at Stonewall Golf club in Gainesville Virginia. He was always upbeat at the start of the day and could always be counted upon to have several jokes that just came to him throughout the day. We would both console each other about how badly we would putt during most rounds. Final scores were not too important but he always had a smile when he broke 90 which was pretty often. He often spoke about how proud he was of his boys and his 50 years married to Mary Ellen. Golf is not as much fun anymore. Rest in peace, my friend. |
