Be Thou At Peace

Although a classmate of Ben, I did not get the opportunity to know him until 40 years after graduation. Jacobs, the company I worked for, acquired Carter and Burgess, where Ben was CEO. I was assigned as the senior Jacobs executive to manage post-merger integration. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with Ben on a regular basis. Ben's leadership, professionalism, and dedication were instrumental in making a smooth and successful transition that benefited not only both companies, but just as importantly, the former employees of Carter and Burgess. A job incredibly well done! Be thou at peace. |
