Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Jim Reynolds on October 7, 2025:
John was a fellow pediatrician and my roommate Cow year. He also introduced me to my wife, Ginni. He was a devout Christian and followed those principles throughout his life. During Firstie year I remember he got some ribbing from several of us who were getting muscle cars or Corvettes because he had to special order a front seat that was a bench seat not bucket seats. John was always practical and knew what would be best for him. John always wanted to be a doctor and I asked him, if that was so, why would he come to West Point? I dont remember his answer but a few years later I also decided to leave active duty and attend medical school. Several years later I was doing my reserve summer camp at Ft Lewis and had the opportunity to visit John and his family. We both became pediatricians and knowing John and his care and concern for his fellow man, I have no doubt that he was loved by his patients. Ginni and I will miss you John but I am sure that we will meet again on theHigh Ground.
