Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Trinity Ingram-Jones on January 27, 2026:

Will Ingram entered eternal rest 5 years ago today. Will was a great man and a wonderful father. There are no words that could adequately describe the level of grief and profound loss our family has felt since that tragic day. Thank you to everyone who has been here for us during this very difficult time. Gabe and I owe a debt of gratitude to those who have loved and supported us through this tremendous loss.

Will,

I am sorry it has taken me 5 years to show up here. To be honest, the past 5 years have been the most difficult to this point in my life, and your loss has certainly taken its toll.

On this 5th anniversary, I felt it was time that I pull it together and give you an update on our handsome and amazing son. Gabe is so much like you in every way. I see you in nearly every single thing he says and does. Since we last saw you, Gabe graduated high school in the top 5% of his class. He has also graduated with his undergraduate and graduate degrees, with honors, from the University of Georgia. As you always knew he would, Gabe has worked hard to achieve his dreams, and he now has 2 SEC Championships and 2 trips to the College Football Playoffs to show for it. He has worked tirelessly every single day to make you proud, and I know that at the age of 22, he has well exceeded your expectations.

A couple months prior to your death you received one of the highest honors bestowed upon government servants. In an article announcing your selection for that award, your supervisor said of you, "Will has been unstoppable." You would be proud to know that Gabe has lived up to your legacy. Despite his profound loss, he has been unstoppable over the past 5 years.

Life has never been the same since that day 5 years ago, nor will it ever be, but you can rest in peace knowing that our family will continue to rally around Gabe every single day for the rest of our lives.

Gabe and I miss you, Will. We will always love you, and we will do everything in our power to honor your memory for as long as we live.

Much love,

Trinity
