As a member of the class of 1975, I was fortunate to have Craig as my 1st detail squad leader during Beast Barracks in the summer of 1971. Grads of our era (and hopefully all grads since)know how impactful that position is on a new cadet. After that summer, save and except for a few visits to Craig's room to listen to music on the weekends while he was away enjoying his firstie weekend passes, our paths never crossed again. However, I can say that I've never encountered another person whose sense of duty and leadership for those in his charge equal that demonstrated by Craig during those few weeks in July 1971.
