Louis Benzing, 86, died May 15, 2013, at VNA Hospice House. He was born in Bergenfield, N.J., and moved to Vero Beach in 1992, coming from North Hutchinson Island. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., in 1949 and Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Cambridge, Mass., in 1952 with a degree in electronic engineering. He was a business entrepreneur. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Benzing of Vero Beach; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Benzing. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL, 32960. Services: None are planned. Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
