Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Walter H. Oehrlein on March 27, 2026:

How very sad about Dave.......a true pillar in our '65 Class! Rollie S. summarized Dave's unrelenting effort in getting the Cadet Gym renamed the ARVIN Development Center. I connected more with Dave in the last 25 years and appreciated Rosie's interest in the racket sports. I remember playing doubles with
the dedicated husband-wife team once, and Dave exhibited superb strategy in letting Rose take all the 'tough shots'!! More importantly, Dave helped me with a depression period......he WAS strong! We went on with common goals of tributes to Bob Arvin; initially with attendance and support for the ARVIN Educational thrust with Bob's High School pal Tino Lambros and our own Art Hester. Further he was a principal in assisting with the ARVIN Documentary, "Where the Brave Dare to Tread", produced/directed by Ypsilanti, MI native Brian Kruger. Dave's(and Bob's) pals Fred Laughlin, Chuck Moseley, Tom Abraham, and Art Hester(again) were nicely casted in the film. AND, I'd see Dave and his/our buddy John Seymour traveling from the West Coast to participate in Bob Radcliffe's terrific golf gathers. The 'partners' even tried to help the golfing world with their 'Pro-Shot' cart/distances assist; they both had distinguished working careers to allow delving into fun and passion. SO, so WELL DONE, may HE
rest in peace.
