As the Chair of the 40th Reunion, I learned that Mark was a member of a small group of Classmates who decorated the headstones of Classmates, wives and offspring at the West Point Cemetery every Reunion. This group (Sheridans, Tomaswicks, Salomones) remained anonymous until the 50th Reunion. The work that went into that effort was intensive, yet it brought so much appreciation from surviving spouses and families that it is impossible to overstate the value of their act of love and respect. This one example of Mark's devotion to our Class captures his spirit and character. His efforts along with those of his compatriots are one of the many things that make the Distinguished Class of 1965 so special. I miss Mark deeply. Well done, my friend! STRENGTH AND DRIVE |
