George Nippell will be missed by many. George and I worked together at the National Guard Bureau from the mid 80s thru the mid 90s. He was a true professional conducting his business quietly and without fanfare. He was intelligent, loyal as friend and a true patriot. He was one of the best officers I ever had the privilege to serve with. He was respected by his peers, subordinates and superiors alike. Although I have not seen George for quite sometime we communicated by email from time to time. In his last email he indicated that his time was near. He said he was okay making it to 79. Like everything else George did he was quiet about his health. Forever in my prayers. RIP George. Until we meet again my friend. Ron Tipa |
