While we have not seen each other in many years, Paul was like the older, responsible brother I always wanted and never had. Paul and I met in 1972. We were PFCs on the bus convoy from Ft. Polk to Ft. Benning to attend the Infantry NCO Candidate School. We frequently patrolled our battalion parking lot together in adverse weather at o dark 30. I have many fond memories of our spirited conversations, his perspectives, keen intellect, wisdom and trenchant wit. There will come a day when the thought of Paul brings a smile to your lips before it brings a tear to your eye. My prayer for you is that day will come sooner than later. Bernie Kravnick |
