Be Thou At Peace

One could always count on Paul to have an answer and a smile for every occasion, encounter, or issue. He gave new meaning to the idea of an effervescent persona, quick to encourage a scheme, project, or idea that might lead to some fun, despite the odds of getting caught. His close friendship with Chet Myers--almost like brothers--often incited Chet's uproarious laughter that echoed through the barracks' hallways, as they hatched, completed, or returned safely from their latest nightly or weekend escapade. Yet, they were true gentlemen--helpful, practical, and polite--especially around the ladies, whom they respected to the point of being truly "innocent" themselves, when compared to just about everyone else in the G1 First Class brotherhood. We've lost them both now, but they are probably already "at it" again, once more united in heavenly mischief. May he rest in peace. It was an honor, and inspiration, to have ended up in the same company with him for two years. He made life so much better for so many cadets.
