My personal experience with Tom lasted all of one semester. He & I were roommates during our last semester at West Point. I believe I was assigned to Tom to survive & graduate. Academics was always a struggle for me unlike for Tom. I really didn't realize anyone could be that smart. He was truly gifted. Bottom line, Tom, ushered me through the last semester & helped ensure my graduation. I am forever grateful for his camaraderie & patience. I never saw him again after graduation; but I followed his career through our class emails, etc. I am sure his family is very proud of his accomplishments & legacy. And so, they should be. Rest in peace, "roomie." |
