It is always difficult to post memories. John and I shared a large, farm house outside Enterprise, Alabama.We attended flight school together after initial assignments; Fort Benning for me and cadre support of Ranger School. He had a passion for playing Lacrosse. We were team members on the Atlanta Lacrosse Team. Games were on the hard Astro Turf of Georgia Tech University. Not sure if he was an active participant in the burning down of Atlanta- partying in Atlanta's 'Underground' public space after our games. John and I suffered the difficult 'under the hood' flight training sessions with Instructor Pilots. He was measured with his humor but always remembered that...take-offs were optional, landings were mandatory. chairo |
