| Dave was one of the class personalities within the class - very intelligent, excellent leadership skills as demonstrated by being our Brigade Executive Officer, and very personable. I had enormous respect for him. He attended a few of the class golf outings and he and Harry Dermody played lots of cribbage on those excursions. As class president I encouraged classmates to write their own memorial articles, Dave was one of those who thought that was a good idea. He sent his work to me, apparently for review, but I did not read it as I told him I did not think it appropriate to read it until it was published in "Taps," but knew it would be well written |
