I was lucky enough to know Kevin, he was in my company at USMAPS in 1997. Again at West Point, KJ and I were together in company E1 for two years. Everyday that I talked to Kevin, I could just feel his kindness and determination. I truly felt privilged to know such a great guy. Kevin was a friend that would do anything for you (even if it meant serious inconvenience to him). He always choose the harder right. He was a great person, a great friend, and a great soldier. This world is a better place because of Kevin, and I am a better person because I knew him...his memory will always, always be with me wherever I go. CPT Brian Szydlik USMA, 2001 |
