Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Wade Hatzinger on December 26, 2005:
My deepest sypathies to the Britt family. Ben was a great Guy and an outstanding leader. Ben And I had a couple classes together at West Point. Then we went through IOBC together. In Ranger School we were in the same platoon, getting each other through all those nights when we were starving and half asleep. Through all that Ben always had a great sense of humor and was always helping others to get the job done. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to FOB Joe as part of the MiTT Team where Ben's company is stationed. Me and Ben would talk and joke around whenever we were both at the FOB at the same time. I remember talking to him the night before it happend, he was the same Ben, all business when he had to, but when he had time to relax, out came his sense of humor that we all loved. He will be badly missed down here, both as a leader and a person. Ben, just want you to know that your guys are continuing to soldier on despite their losses and doing great things down here. SSG Miller is doing a good job like always and your soldiers are performing well. They are down at the bridge right now. The rest of us are carrying on as best we can without you as we know you would want us to. We all miss you. See you on the high ground man. RLTW
