Benjamin Thomas Britt
West Point, 2004
Be Thou At Peace
Posted by BG L Dale Hoover Jr (R) on December 27, 2005:
With a heavy heart, memories of my own wars and a fellow soldiers I come to you Mary, David and all the Britt family to share your pain. As Admissions Field Representative for West Point I knew Ben as we went through the process of admissions. Ben made me proud with his enthusiasm and grit to do more than he had to do to obtain a Letter of Admission from West Point Military Academy. Ben is the first of our West Point Parents Forum to make this supreme sacrifice. All of us, everyone, understand and feel your agony. I remember the proud spirit of you Mary and all the family at your last meeting with us at the Parents Forum and having talked with you David I know why Ben was such a brave warrior and an inspiration to all his men. We havent lost him, we know where he is as we are told in John 15:13. Thank you Ben for your superior service and thank you the Britt family for your service as you supported him in this cause aganist a brutal, cowardly and evil enemy. Because of Soldiers like lst Lt Benjamin Britt and a family like the David and Mary Britt family we will be victorious in this battle aganist an enemy with a mission to destroy us. We of the West Point Parents Forum of Amarillo will be at the last bugle call.
Retired General Dale Hoover. Airborne-Special Forces.
