Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Chris Baldwin on December 29, 2005:
Ben was my roomate at Ft Campbell for 5 months before we deployed. He was one of the greatest friends I've ever had. It was my honor to call him a friend and I truly hope that he considered me one of his closest friends. I will never forget the hours we just spent hanging out and talking on the front porch of our apartment or the way he would debate any subject. I will always remember his advice both personal and professional. I will always remember his laugh and his love of Texas and all things Texan. His quick wit, strength and humor will be missed by all those around him. I will never forget that Ben could find humor in any situation and took everything in stride. At Ft Benning and at Ft Campbell, Ben's humor was infectious to all those around him Ben was larger than life and I will miss him. Ben and I signed in to the 502nd on the same day and he loved his platoon and his job. I know for a fact and from accounts that he died leading from the front and as a hero. Ben, we miss you but you will never be forgotten.
