Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Cody Pittman on January 11, 2006:

It is so sad to hear of the loss of a great officer... He was my plebe English instructor, my first semester at West Point. He had a kind of tough love attitude about him. I struggled through his class, but he definitely taught me how to write. I can't begin to explain the impact he had on me. Condolences to your family, but I am just speaking as one of the many cadets who's lives he touched through his teaching, life lessons and advice. I spent more hours seeking additional instruction in his office than any other instructor I've had. He was always willing to help. I'll never forget his love of baseball (St. Louis Cardinals) and the exciting stories he told about the field artillery....Be thou at peace...
