Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Francesca Campos on January 19, 2006:
I am sitting over here in Korea looking through the too long list of our classmates who have died since joining the long grey line. A rather morbid thing to do really - I am eager to join them all among the other honored spirits in the line. I am eager to see Biggles smile at me and make fun of me for some clutzy move I have just made.
Such brothers make like so full, and in their absence, make life a little desolate. I remember our Yearling Winter Weekend dinner when the Superintendant had all the prepsters stand in rememberance of Biggles. I remember how much we all wept. I still weep when I think of his absence, but then the shadow passes and I smile remembering walking up to a basketball game with him while he talked about how much he loved West Point, how excited he was about the next football season, and how proud his family was of him. It is truly an honor to be able to say I knew Anthony Miller just a little bit.
